658 Taxi & ToursPrivacy Notice
Effective 10 October 2026 · 658 Taxi & Tours, Jamaica
We collect only the details needed to review, quote, arrange and manage your requested transportation or Jamaica experience. We do not sell customer information or use booking details for unrelated marketing.
Who controls your information
658 Taxi & Tours (658TT) is responsible for the customer information collected through this booking service. Privacy requests may be made by calling or sending WhatsApp to +1 658-203-8231. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that a request relates to you before disclosing or changing a record.
Information we collect
- Name, phone number, email address and preferred contact method.
- Pickup and destination details, dates, times, flight number, passenger and luggage information.
- Optional Google Maps links or precise GPS coordinates when you choose to share them.
- Trip notes, accessibility or child-seat requests, experience interests and itinerary details.
- Quotes, confirmations, trip status, payment status and communications about the service.
- Lead source and limited security information used to prevent spam or duplicate requests.
Why we use it
We use the information to respond to your request, assess availability and vehicle suitability, prepare a quote or itinerary, communicate with you, perform an agreed service, maintain operational and financial records, protect customers and 658TT, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Information is not used for a materially different purpose without notice and, where required, your permission.
What stays in your browser
658TT does not automatically save the booking form, your contact details, trip notes, addresses or GPS coordinates in browser local storage or session storage. Until you press send, the details remain only in the open page and are lost if you refresh or close it. After submission, the booking reference may appear in the page address and browser history so the receipt can be redisplayed. Your own browser or password manager may separately offer autofill; that is controlled by you and your device provider.
Who may receive it
Access is limited to 658TT personnel and service providers needed to operate the booking service. This currently includes authorised cloud hosting and database services, Pushover for owner alerts, and the contact channel you select, such as WhatsApp, telephone or email. Google Maps receives information only when you open a map link or choose to share a map location. We do not sell personal data.
International processing
Some technology and communications providers may process information outside Jamaica. 658TT limits disclosures to what is needed for the service and selects providers and safeguards intended to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability. Customers may ask for more information about the categories of providers used.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed, declined or unanswered enquiries are normally reviewed for deletion or de-identification within 12 months of the last activity.
- Completed trips, accepted quotes, payments, refunds and related transaction records may be retained for six years where needed for tax, accounting, insurance, dispute or legal obligations.
- Precise GPS coordinates, shared map links and sensitive free-text operational notes are reviewed for deletion or de-identification within 90 days after the trip is completed or cancelled, unless they are needed for an active safety, payment, complaint or legal matter.
- Pseudonymous anti-abuse counters are retained for no more than 24 hours. Duplicate-submission identifiers are retained for up to 30 days and do not contain the booking details.
How we protect it
658TT uses encrypted web connections, access-controlled administration, server-side authorization, input validation, anti-spam limits, duplicate-submission protection, security response headers, restricted map links and operational logging. Access is limited to people who need the information for the service. No online system can promise absolute security, so we also maintain incident and recovery procedures and review access and retention practices.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to be informed about processing, request access or a copy, correct inaccurate information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. 658TT does not use solely automated decision-making to confirm a booking or set the final fare; the owner reviews the request and approves the quote. We aim to acknowledge privacy requests promptly and respond within 30 days, subject to lawful verification or extensions.
You may also complain to Jamaica's Office of the Information Commissioner if you believe your personal data has not been handled appropriately.
Changes to this notice
Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date. The version applying when a request was submitted may be retained with the related operational record.
